I am Sajad Jalili, a final-year B.Sc. student in Psychology at Islamic Azad University (Tehran), where I maintain a 3.56/4.0 GPA and hold a TOEFL iBT score of 101. I began my studies in psychology in 2021, driven by a deep curiosity about human cognition and interpersonal relationships. Over the years, this interest has evolved profoundly, leading me to realize that pursuing a career as a psychologist and researcher—and perhaps one day as a professor at a leading university—is my true passion, one I envision dedicating my life to
Psychology, to me, is a multifaceted discipline that defies simple definition. Unlike a carpenter who can precisely describe their craft, psychologists often provide varied interpretations of their work. While many of my peers are drawn to direct clinical practice and client interactions, my enthusiasm lies primarily in research and experimentation. I find the greatest fulfillment in exploring psychological phenomena through studies and investigations, rather than routine therapeutic sessions. For me, psychology bridges art, engineering, and therapy: it offers therapeutic tools to heal individuals, engineering principles to design structured life conditions and foster order, and an artistic essence that requires flexibility and openness to navigate the unknown—whether in client work or novel research—to better understand needs and drive meaningful improvements
This perspective fuels my commitment to advancing the field, which I see as a young yet extraordinary science often underappreciated in its research dimensions. I believe those of us entering psychology have a responsibility to contribute, even modestly, by building on prior knowledge to provide more comprehensive—though never flawless—answers to humanity's enduring questions
My primary research interests focus on personality assessment in developmental contexts, talent and aptitude evaluation in child and adolescent mental health, and the historical and evolutionary influences on clinical interventions. I have led several applied projects examining life satisfaction, anxiety, emotional regulation, and family-based resilience, and I am currently preparing my first scientific manuscript for international submission
I thrive on integrating rigorous quantitative methods (such as SPSS and R) with in-depth qualitative analysis, complemented by my experience as a teaching assistant and skills in digital behavioral analytics
